For my sister's birthday this year, we went to Disneyland! As little kids, it was our dream to go to Disneyland but we could never afford it. After 17 years, we can finally afford it so we packed our bags to dreamland.
We had a few snags along the way due to our flight being delayed for a good 2 hours. I'm not flying Jet Blue again. But! We made it. We got to Disneyland!
We did the most tourist thing and took pictures at the typical tourist places!
They were all ready for Halloween.
We lined up for an hour to see the princesses! OMG! The princesses!!!!! While we were in line, there were Aurora, Snow White, and Mulan. We sneaked photos of them here.
They were so pretty! When we almost got to the end of the line, they switched princesses. So guess who we saw?
Cinderelly! We started out all happy.
I think Baotran was telling her how pretty her dress was.
We looked super sleazy here.
Finally, a proper photo.
With Belle!
With Tiana. She's the princess from
The Princess and the Frog except I haven't seen that movie.
There was almost no line to see Jasmine because she was by herself in a different part of the park.
We went to Toon Town to see Mickey Mouse. The line to see Mickey Mouse said "15 minutes" except it was a LIE! It took a good hour standing in the convoluted line inside Mickey Mouse impossible house.
We finally saw the legend and smiled for the camera but those smiles also included a hint of anger and frustration.
What we should have done is just do this with the statue.
I wanted to hold hands with them, too.
Since it was almost Halloween, this ride seemed very apt.
Sandy Claws!
We also decided to go all out and blew our money in the souvenir stores.
My sister tried on a lot of hats.
This was her interpretation of a drunken Jack Sparrow.
Not a hat but it was also on her head.
She also enjoyed being scandalous with the stuff plushy things.
Ehyo! Their tongues are sticking out!
I was just kidding, we only blew our money on this Mini Mouse ear thing.
So we walked around a lot.
And we got tired.
We also touched a lot of things.
And...did whatever this was.
Rotisserie chicken crossing.
We found a shooting range and blew our quarters on it.
My sister's I'm-trying-really-hard face.
This was my I'm-a-dumb-butt-and-don't-know-what-I'm-doing face.
As we were about to leave, we caught the parade and saw Scumbag Mickey Mouse being a rockstar.
Random people in awesome costumes dancing.
The lightest Aladdin ever.
The Little Mermaid in her bubble float.
My boyfriend.
More pretty people.
More princesses.
The next day, we went to the Long Beach Aquarium and we got to pet fish and rays.
Yo!
We went into this bird enclosure. They had an option for you to buy $3 cup of nectar to trick the birds into doing things like land on our arms and shoulders for the food like this...
But we were too cheap so the birds just looked at us like this:
Scumbag bird.
Aquariums have terrible lighting for photos.
Since we were in an aquarium, we were obligated to take a photo of the jelly fish.
Overall, it was a super fun trip even though it rained on us for some parts of the day. Phoo!
My favorite ride is still the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
